Expect all you want of an RTM, but its microsoft we're talking here and they do whatever they want. I'll give you credit that there isn't really much web-based info now on second thought - Microsoft's engineers probably don't want to go on written record on a website saying to avoid Exchange 2007 until SP1.

I've been to two Microsoft-hosted events for Exchange 2007: a training and a seminar and at both places the microsoft engineer kept driving the point "off the record, wait until SP1".

Anyway you already upgraded so you don't have a choice but for anyone reading and considering, take my experience at the seminars for what you will.

With the type of work that I do and the company that I work for, it's essential that we deploy these types of applications as early as possible. I haven't read anywhere where Microsoft are saying to wait until SP1 to deploy Exchange Server 2007. One should reasonably expect an RTM product to not actually have less functionality than the previous version.

..and exactly who told you (or forced you) to upgrade to Exchange 2007? If you'd bothered to do ANY research you'd find that microsoft's exchange programmers are engineers are telling everyone to wait for SP1 before considering a real upgrade because internally at MS its still considered a "beta" but got rushed out the door prematurely to coincide with the Vista/Office 2007 circus.

Exchange 2007 SP1 is going to be the REAL Exchange RTM code.
