Looking for Adobe Flash Player Download Links?

I’ve had a few e-mails over the past few weeks, from people looking for the Adobe Flash Player installer, because someone at Adobe tech support has been directing people here for links to download the latest version of Flash (obviously not the official line).

Each time tech support has been giving them an incorrect URL, so I thought it might be useful to post the download links again. Hi Mr Adobe Tech Support, if you’re reading this.

Here are the links for Adobe Flash Player 9 10 (if you’re unsure which installer to download, get the MSI installer):

If you’ve got your own blog and would mind posting these links so that people may find them more easily, I’d be really grateful (a link back to here would be nice too).

Here’s a link to the original unattend install script for these players that started this and here’s how to uninstall Flash Player if you’re having issues updating to the lastest version.

Note: If you want to download the players and distribute them in your corporate network you must get a license from Adobe before doing so.

Do you have any other citations for incorrect URL recommendations?

One other regularly-sought download page is the list of old Players, for odd testing circumstances… search term of “player archive” usually pulls it up.

3 Aaron Parker September 17, 2007 at 8:14 am: Hi John, I doubt you’ll find links to here from adobe.com. I think users coming here have been having issues using the ActiveX install and have come looking for the full installer.

5 Paul September 18, 2007 at 3:59 am: Darren, the links go to the Adobe website to download the files. Does it breach the licensing to publish such links (that direct people to the correct place on the Adobe website) on your own website?

This is correct. The Adobe free Player distribution agreement does not allow you to distribute the Players from your website. These MSI download links are only accessible after signing up for a license and should not be distributed.
