This one’s more for my own benefit than anything else, but I came across an excellent, but obvious to most of us, list of tips for e-mail etiquette -

These are great tips that should be a part of any corporate training program. My favourites are:

  • Use the blind copy and courtesy copy appropriately
  • Don’t send chain letters, virus warnings, or junk mail.

It’s so tempting at times, to take those e-mail addresses of people who forward chain letters and virus warnings and don’t also use the BCC field, and sign them up to a few mailing lists..

My own tip but it’s not really etiquette: ’please consider the environment before printing that e-mail’.
